6. The Best Gear Is Available From A Hidden Character Who Only Appears On Certain Days

You might be starting to hear quite a bit about a certain enigmatic character named 'Xur'.

Formerly known to Destiny 1's loyal legion of followers, now D2 has caught on in an exponentially more positive way, ol' snake-faced Xur should be a household name before the week is out.

Appearing only on certain dates (and if you're reading this between Sept 15-17, he's waiting on Nessus right now), Xur is an Exotic items vendor. You'll need a good few Legendary Shards to trade, but know that every time he appears he'll have something new, and if you can't afford what he offers when it's available, those items are gone for good.

Or rather, they're put back in the never-ending number-cruncher that results in the rarest of drops.
