Destiny 2: Ranking All Exotic Weapons From Worst To Best
11. Wardcliff Coil
Wardcliff Coil might be one of the most infamous original exotic weapons that was never actually in the original Destiny. The gun was spotted in code way back during the Taken King and was given the name the "Dubious Volley" by the community. It would be two years before players actually got to use the gun however, albeit under a new name.
For those that remember the Gjallarhorn and its wolfpack rounds that seek out enemies, that's essentially what the Wardcliff Coil shoots out. No, it does no where near as much damage as the Gjallarhorn, and it's not even comparable, but the volley of rockets the Coil shoots out is best compared to those wolfpack rounds, although much weaker.
This rocket launcher shines when you're trying to take out a group of adds, but other than that it really loses functionality. It's not going to do decent DPS to a boss, and it's not useful in the Crucible. So if you're doing anything where your job is clearing out adds, the Wardcliff Coil will certainly be a good choice.
