5. Hell On Earth

Doom 2016 was, and still is, a breathtaking game to look at.

The orange vistas of Mars make the eyes open wide and want to take in every detail. Unfortunately it start to get very familiar only a few hours into the campaign. Both Hell and Mars have a striking resemblance to one another with just a slightly more demonic twist as you venture into the fiery afterlife.

Eternal looks to break that mould.

Having Hell come to Earth opens the door to so many interesting environment options as we live on such a diverse planet. Images and trailers have dropped and revealed this to be exactly the case. Large cities overrun with a mix of demons and crumbled buildings.

This game doesn't just provide an orange-tinged Mars and a fiery Hell. This time we travel to snowy mountains, highlighting the stark contrast of the white snows and the blood covered, burnt out demons, bringing to life something only described as 'uncomfortably beautiful'.

The possibilities for the environments we haven't yet seen is an exciting prospect and something many fans will be looking to explore come March.
