Dragon Age Inquisition: 16 Weird Easter Eggs You Might Have Missed
7. Bikini Armour And The Consequences Thereof
A running gag among fantasy games is the excessively impractical Sexy Bikini Armour that is foisted upon female characters for no other reason than sexual objectification, and someone on Inquisition's dev team thought to run with that joke with the inclusion of bikini armour - and its clear consequences - in game.
Looted off an arrow-riddled corpse on the island off the Storm Coast is the appropriately titled "Fragment of Inadequate Chainmail", showing exactly what would happen if one actually wore completely superfluous chainmail bikinis in fantasy worlds full of war and violence.
It provides the equally hilarious quest of the same name, which ends with the player crafting an amulet called the "Victim of Fashion", an item that drives the point in further by giving the player -100% stats on magic, melee, and range defence. It is, as its description states, an "astoundingly bad idea", which is also an apt description for putting chainmail armour on female characters in the first place.
Fortunately, the Dragon Age franchise gives its warrior women a fair shake with properly practical armour, with the only instances of scantily clad women being the semi-armoured, free-moving rogue Isabela and the distance fighting mage Morrigan.
