The future for the Star Wars franchise is incredibly bright, in terms of both films and games. The announcement of the new upcoming trilogy spearheaded by J.J. Abrams was just the start of Disney's plans for the IP, as it recently signed a 10-year deal with Electronic Arts ensuring several games across that time frame. Everyone knows about DICE's reboot of the Star Wars: Battlefield franchise and their teasers at E3 were barely enough to satiate curiosity, but what about the other Star Wars game in the works? After Amy Hennig left Naughty Dog earlier in the year, the internet was abuzz in speculation about where she would go next, but no one suspected Visceral Games of Dead Space fame. Oddly enough, they are also in charge of another Star Wars game, with her leading the game's creative development. Rumours hint at a possible open-world game, but no one knows what's actually going on yet. It could have been a huge moment to have a few words to say, or at least concept art to show on this new game, but we instead got the silent treatment. Fortunately, everyone can expect to learn a lot more about this game at future press events, so only time will tell.
