You don't have to be a Disney fan to understand how hotly anticipated this game is. Gamers went an entire console generation without a new numbered entry in the popular Kingdom Hears franchise, instead receiving a stream of handheld spin-off stories that failed to fully scratch the itch. When Square Enix announced the official development of (and subsequent teaser images and footage for) Kingdom Hearts 3, the world paid attention. E3 2014 would have been the perfect opportunity to blow the lid off the game and reveal details surrounding the plot, characters, worlds and so much more, but it was instead noticeably absent. Convention attendees were treated to information and play sessions for Kingdom Hearts 2.5 HD, a far cry from KH3. Perhaps they are planning to announce more details on the game at an event of their own choosing, but E3 2015 will surely have KH3 front and center as one of the most talked about games leading into the event itself.
