E3: 10 Games We're Devastated Weren't Shown

3. Cyberpunk 2077

The story of CD Projekt RED is one of both envy and respect. The used-to-be small Polish developer that released an ambitious (for its time) PC RPG based on a series of novels has since grown to be one of the developers at the forefront of roleplaying video game development. The Witcher franchise is one of the most popular RPG series' in the entire industry, winning critical and commercial success, and its 3rd entry, Wild Hunt, is shaping up to raise the bar even higher. With all of that to talk about, it's easy to forget this other little game they revealed a couple of years ago before quickly closing the curtain. Cyberpunk 2077 is their next upcoming IP which aims to delve into the universe of Cyberpunk 2020 - the tabletop roleplaying game - which is a lot like a sci-fi D&D. In order to focus on The Witcher 3 as much as possible, Cyberpunk was unfortunately nowhere to be seen at this year's E3, but ideally this means in 2015 after The Witcher has had a few months of post-launch glory the developer can turn all of their hype and marketing towards this new beauty.
