E3: 10 Huge Nintendo Reveals You Need To See

6. Hyrule Warriors

Tecmo Koei€™s Team Ninja and Nintendo join forces this year for Hyrule Warriors, a The Legend of Zelda spin-off game that combines classic Zelda landscapes, heroes and enemies with Dynasty Warriors gameplay. Dynasty Warriors may elicit a sigh or two from gamers due to the long-running series' predictable and somewhat stale gameplay, but expectations were raised when Nintendo released more information during their presentation video. Due for release on the 26 September 2014 for the Wii U, Hyrule Warriors allows Zelda fans to play as their favourite character from Nintendo€™s well-loved series, including characters - old and new - who players have never had the chance to play as before. Link, Zelda, Impa and Midna were all confirmed as playable characters, with plenty more also lined up. Another multi-player title, Hyrule Warriors is not a split screen experience, allowing both players to be fully immersed on a screen each-one using the TV screen and the other via the Game Pad. Titled Zelda Musou in Japan, the game sees Link cast as a training soldier that must rescue Princess Zelda from the witch Shia. Hyrule Warriors combines Dynasty Warriors gameplay and mission structure with character growth via a weapon upgrade system, Zelda characters and landscapes. The developers hope that this game may finally get people interested in the Dynasty Warriors series, and with Zelda being the focus this time around, this might just happen. We'll have to wait and see! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UxgaIIOvV74
