6. Assassin's Creed: Unity
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A9UbtVWTr2c Assassin's Creed has always been a game steeped in history, documenting everything from the 12th century crusades to the golden age of piracy in the 18th century with its own unique, sci-fi twist. So when it comes to historic time periods, the French Revolution seemed like a perfect playground for the team at Ubisoft Montreal to play around with - and it shows in the incredible game play demo of Assassin's Creed: Unity. One thing that Unity promises is to take Assassin's Creed into a brand new direction, with four-player online co-op as its unique innovation. There's something unsettling about the atmosphere in Unity, as it takes place on the eve of the French Revolution, at a time when the social upheaval in France was a truly frightening thing. The world of Unity is soaked with a feeling of pure dread, and Ubisoft Montreal have done an amazing job at creating a setting that feels as if it's falling apart, soon to be stormed by the downtrodden public that can take no more. As the person right in the middle of it, there's a feeling of fear that comes over you watching everything start to fall apart, which is something that will hopefully carry over even further when the full game launches in October.
