5. Batman: Arkham Knight
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aNvjuzdHnsI As much as Rocksteady's Batman games are cited as the definitive saga of superhero games, there was always one thing that comic book fans felt was a massive omission in the series; the Batmobile. The concept of driving the Batmobile in Rocksteady's gorgeous open-world Gotham City seemed to be only a mere fantasy until it was revealed that Arkham Knight - the proposed swan song of the series - would finally make the iconic car drivable. But it wouldn't be until this year's E3 that we finally got our first glimpse at the mechanic, and in the purest sense of the word; it is divine. It was one of the most impressive displays at the show this year, showcasing the seamless transitions between Batman driving to his incredible ability to leap out of the car at any time and go soaring through the air. It was teased, talked about, flat-out confirmed, but no one ever expected the amount of control you would have over Batman in this game. The instant transitions between the different modes of transportation are downright incredible, and driving the Batmobile looks to be one of the next great Rocksteady innovations. Though it was unfortunately delayed into 2015, that doesn't prevent Arkham Knight from being one of the most anticipated games of its generation.
