E3 2017: 6 Ups & 4 Downs From Bethesda's Conference
3. It Was Only 40 Minutes Long
Though not quite as shocking as Starfield's absence, the show surprisingly ended after a mere 40 minutes, and while Bethesda smartly minimised dull business chatter while focusing squarely on games, most viewers were certainly left expecting a lot more from a hyped-up conference live-streamed around the world.
There's nothing here that couldn't have just been announced via YouTube without the need for a convention center, nor inviting people around the world to stay up until an ungodly hour (especially those poor souls living in Europe).
It felt like half an E3 conference at best, and though there absolutely were some exciting announcements, it ultimately wasn't enough, especially following two incredibly mixed showings from EA and Microsoft.
