E3 2018: 10 PS4 Predictions That Must Come True

2. The Last Of Us Part II Demo & Release Date

Although it was originally seen as a questionable decision to produce a sequel at all, with each new trailer The Last of Us Part II has more than justified its reason to exist. However, despite being announced in late 2016 (admittedly very early in development, according to Naughty Dog), fans have only had two context-free looks at the game.

After enjoying a few tastes of the new world and brief glimpses at new and returning characters, then, now is the time for Naughty Dog to show off how the game is actually going to play. Not only that, but a rough idea of its release date would also inspire confidence in the project - especially after the infamously troubled production of Uncharted 4.

Despite the talent on board and the reverence people have for the original, The Last of Us Part II isn't a sure-fire bet, and could end up more of a Speed 2: Cruise Control than a Godfather Part II. That said, all it takes is one great gameplay demo to get players on board.
