E3 2018: 15 Best Moments
1. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Looks, Well, Ultimate
Though Nintendo's unveiling for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate ran a little on the long side, it nevertheless convinced that this is going to be the biggest and perhaps even the best Smash game yet.
The big hook this time is that the roster will feature 65 characters, including everyone who's previously appeared in the franchise (even Solid Snake, as voiced by David Hayter!), as well as Splatoon's Inklings and the much-requested Metroid boss Ridley.
The game will support 8-player battles and a number of the game's inner nuances have been reworked, even if at its core this is still very much the Smash fans know and love.
The visuals look terrific, and for those who were worried the new Smash would simply be a lazy port of the Wii U game, that's clearly not the case at all.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate arrives December 7. Just in time for Christmas, then.
