E3 2018: 5 Ups & 5 Downs From Ubisoft's Conference
Ups...
5. Trials Returns With Trials Rising, Coming February 2019
Considering that the last proper Trials game was released over four years ago, fans have been long overdue a fully-fledged follow-up, and Ubisoft finally answered their prayers by announcing Trials Rising, due out February 2019 (and a beta is also planned).
As if the game's mere existence isn't awesome enough, it was also confirmed that Trials Rising will not only release on PS4, Xbox One and PC, but also Nintendo Switch for the very first time. Don't be shocked if the previous games also get ported to the platform, because why the hell wouldn't they?
Trials Rising is a particularly note-worthy announcement as it's the single new, surprise game revealed during Ubi's presser, and while it's not some AAA knockout property, the franchise has earned a loyal fanbase for its ludicrous physics-based mayhem and infuriating difficulty.
That 8-month wait sure is long, but it's just awesome to know that a new Trials game is definitely on the way.
