EA Sports UFC: 10 Fighter Ratings That Must Be Upgraded
5. Ian McCall
EA SportsOverall: 90
Striking: 92
Ground : 91
Submissions: 81
The tragic death of his close friend Shane del Rosario combined with an injury received before his fight with Brad Pickett at the O2 in London earlier this year means that Ian McCalls stock in the 125-lb division has dropped somewhat. Indeed it is rapidly approaching a year since we last saw Uncle Creepy in the Octagon and many EA included have forgotten quite how talented a fighter he is. Demetrius Johnson has now cleaned out the flyweight division of challengers many believe that McCall is the only man who can overcome Mighty Mouse. Their first fight ended as a draw but many believe that Uncle Creepy had done enough damage and gained enough dominant positions to win the fight. Either way, a man who managed a draw (let alone what many say should have been a win) against a fighter widely believed to be one of the pound-for-pound greats surely deserves to be one of the better rated fighters in the game. McCalls submissions have randomly been rated as being extremely poor despite his having shown his proficient Brazilian jiu-jitsu skills on more than one occasion. McCall is set to fight soon in Ireland against Brad Pickett. If he gets his hand raised here (as we predict him to sorry Brad) expect everybody to be reminded of what a skilled fighter Uncle Creepy is.
