The Elder Scrolls VI: 10 Awesome Locations That Could Be Used

6. Cyrodill

If Bethesda chose to return to an existing landscape, Cyrodill would not be the favourite. As big as it was, the Imperial homeland's architecture was less imaginative than Skyrim and Morrowind's, drawing a lot of influence from medieval tropes. Always impressive, however, was the Imperial City. As for story, it would be interesting to see the differences with the Aldmeri Dominion forcing the White Gold Concordat on the Empire. An updated Imperial City with more emphasis on multiculturalism would be of benefit too. For being the cosmopolitan heart of Tamriel, it was rather small. Mods helped improve it a lot, but the technology is now available to make Cyrodill much more vast and immersive. All of the cities could be updated as well, especially port towns like Anvil. Picture an updated Imperial Arena with an actual audience that reflected the unrealistic cheering in Oblivion. A new engine would make Cyrodill look completely different, and possibly create a whole new experience in the end, even though at the heart it's not an entirely new creation.
