Every 2018 PS4 Exclusive Ranked From Worst To Best (So Far)
2. Yakuza 6: The Song Of Life
Yakuza 6 effectively feels like the epitome of the hit franchise, ramping up the silliness to almost unthinkable levels but also surprising with an unexpectedly poignant story which brings protagonist Kazuma Kiryu's story to an apparent end.
Though it takes a little time to adjust to the game's 30 FPS presentation, the gorgeous new Dragon engine makes the concession an easy one to forgive.
While perhaps the easiest game in the franchise, Yakuza 6's abundance of accessibility features - such as the ability to flee from random battles - make it by far the least-frustrating and most free-wheeling Yakuza title yet.
Nobody will complain that this game is lacking features: the insane abundance of side content is both meaningful and hilarious - often more entertaining than the main story, honestly - and it's tough to think of a better value-for-money prospect on PS4 right now.
At once a ludicrously enjoyable blast of fan service and a fine entry point for new players, Yakuza 6 sees the series at its looniest and most impressively assembled.
