Every Harry Potter Video Game Ranked Worst To Best

11. The Deathly Hallows (Parts 1+2)

If there's one genre of gaming fans of the Harry Potter series don't expect to play through when they sit down with game based on their franchise, it's third person shooting.

But that's exactly what they get with The Deathly Hallows Parts 1 and 2. What was great about the film series was how the tone and mood shifted as the characters grew up, and it is that trend that this game counterpart tries to capture.

Both games hop on board the 'extensive use of taking cover' bandwagon birthed from popular games like Gears of War or Grand Theft Auto, and slap on a progression tree that Harry and the player can work through to gain experience and improve their spells over the course of the story.

Sadly however, the story mode, or lack of it, in both games is just noticeably worse than in the other games within the series. There isn't a lot of substance to these two games on the whole, throwing players from one location to another from the source material, lining up a whole host of AI enemies that will never actually hit them and then calling it day there.

Horror fan, gamer, all round subpar content creator. Strongly believes that Toad is the real hero of the Mario universe, and that we've probably had enough Batman origin stories.
