Every Harry Potter Video Game Ranked Worst To Best
7. Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix
Following on the heels of the disappointment that was Goblet of Fire, Order of the Phoenix is a nice, safe return to the winning formula for the series. Following the middling reception of Goblet, EA returned back to basics with a sandbox-styled Hogwarts castle and got together an official fan forum to help with the direction of the game.
What results is a title that combines the ever-improving gameplay mechanics and character models of the series, with a game that really matches the themes of the source material better than most. The return to an open Hogwarts world means that the game is able to throw in various Discovery Points, student duels against Slytherin House, opportunities to recruit for Dumbledore's Army and a variety of mini-games all around the castle to play through, such as Gobstones or Wizard's Chess.
There are also a couple of opportunities along the game's story that allow player to take control of legendary figures such Sirius Black and Dumbledore, making for a nice little break from the usual antics with Harry.
In comparison to how sparing Goblet was on the content front, this game was a serious upgrade for the series.
