EVERY Resident Evil Game Ranked Worst To Best

15. Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles

Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City Nemesis
Capcom

Two years after Umbrella Chronicles and with Resident Evil 5 having released, The Darkside Chronicles picks up where previous games left off, homing in on scenarios that took place before the fifth entry.

The most noteworthy tales of the bunch were Leon Kennedy's assignment to South America for Operation Javier and Darkness Falls. Seeing his former ties to Jack Krauser from Resident Evil 4 filled in a long hanging thread from that title.

More importantly, Darkside expanded on Umbrella by adding a dynamic difficulty system alongside online leaderboards for additional replay value. Offering more of what Umbrella Chronicles delivered, The Darkside Chronicles took players deeper into hidden events, while also creating new spins on Resident Evil 2 and Code Veronica.

Boasting some light improvements to its core gameplay, it's a solid expansion and the franchise's best effort into the first person shooter genre.
