5. Ezio Auditore - Soulcalibur V (PS3/Xbox 360)

The suavest man in all of renaissance Italy digitally rendered world of Assassin’s Creed, Ezio had the gift of the gab, but was also a master assassin. This translates well with Soulcalibur as he uses his hidden blade and crossbow to juggle foes in the air. He also didn’t look horribly out of place, even if he was speaking another tongue while charging up his hidden pistol.

Ezio was a great inclusion… at the time. Assassin’s Creed and the rest of the world have long since moved on from renaissance Italy. We’re now talking about Egyptians, Greeks, and Vikings.

He may be confined to the history books, but at least Ezio had a banging theme tune and was one of the more fun characters to play as in probably one of the weaker Soulcalibur games.
