4. Darth Vader - Soulcalibur IV (PS3/Xbox 360)

Vader was always going to be high on the list. I mean come on: it’s Darth Vader, the coolest villain in all of science fiction. The bad guy who terrorised an entire galaxy despite having lackeys that couldn’t hit a target with their blasters to save their lives!

Since he’s mostly made of metal and circuitry, Vader’s movements do feel somewhat stiff. That does show an attention to detail with his character design, and his attacks strike very hard. Even his throws where he picks up and launches the enemy is a callback to that one time he yeeted his mentor off a bridge.

Vader does also fall into the same trap as 2B, in that he’s a bit too powerful conceptually for the rest of the Soulcalibur roster to deal with. He’s a force wielding psychopath who can kill anyone with a single thought.
