4. Better Customisation
Although both Fallout 3 and New Vegas had plenty of customisation options, with the latter adding the ability to mix and match gun-parts to your liking, neither game really had the same amount of deep customisation that was being offered in similar RPG titles. However, with Fallout 4 Bethesda has gone all-in on customisation in every regard, adding a ridiculously robust weapon creation system that could potentially offer players thousands of different variants to the already sizeable amount of base weapons in the game. Likewise, with the decision to change the armour system to something that more resembles that of the Elder Scrolls series, allowing you to switch out individual pieces of armour rather than having a singular outfit, Bethesda has upped the amount of customisation available to your character tenfold.
