Fallout 4: 10 Fan-Favourite Characters That Could Return

3. The Master

The Master is one of Fallout's truly great antagonists. He is a mutated human whom players of Fallout 2 would have discovered was formerly known as Richard Moreau, facing off against you at the culmination of the original Fallout. He could be defeated with three options, including one of the game's most gruelling combat opportunities. Ultimately these three face-offs led to his destruction, however it was possible for The Master to survive the events if players chose to join him. While this latter choice would have led to a non-canonical ending, it does give Bethesda the chance to be a little cheeky and claw themselves the opportunity to re-employ such one of Fallout's wonderfully weirdest characters. The Master's appearance is grotesque - just imagine how sick and twisted he would look on a next gen machine - and his personality was split and frayed, with dialogue made up of various voices, all a result of the many imperfect human mutations he had consumed while trying to create his unified army. It could prove unpopular to bring back a character that most players would have killed in the game's original title, but the rewards of employing him as even a minor antagonist in Fallout 4 could be great success. There is even previous suggestion of such a revival, as early footage for the cancelled MMO project set in the Fallout canon showed flashes of a disc with 'The Master lives' scratched into. Make of that what you will...
