Fallout 4: 7 More Disturbing Stories & Locations You Totally Missed
3. HalluciGen's New Prototype Causes A Civil War
The HalluciGen building in Fallout 4 is in a state of all-out-war when you stumble upon it. With the opening floors doused in an experimental gas that has been accidentally released into the facility, you're forced to fight your way through a band of Gunners who have turned on each other thanks to the insanity-inducing pathogen.
Everything is crumbling because it turns out, just like every company in the Fallout universe, HalluciGen Inc. had a pretty lax view on things like "ethics" or "morals". With a mandate to build aggression-suppressing devices, it's revealed that the company ended up creating a plethora of weapons that did the exact opposite.
And if that didn't clue you in on their dodgy nature, the computer terminals around the building explain that, when it came to finding volunteers to test these new products, the company resorted to drugging and kidnapping unaware visitors to take part in their human trials.
Hell, they got so used to completing this cycle of drugging and kidnapping that when the HalluciGen CEO was brought to an assessment with the head of the ethics board, he had no qualms in drugging him too.
Even worse, if you dig further into the facility you'll find the type of experiments these "volunteers" were forced to take part in. They certainly suppress aggression alright - but only because anyone they'd be used on would be totally dead after.
