Fallout 76: 9 Big Questions We Still Have

4. What Music Will We Hear On The Radio?

If you asked this question about any other Fallout game, you'd seem stupid. The songs have a distinct musical genre and time period they follow, and it's very rare that this is broken (although Fallout: New Vegas used country music, most of it was from the same period that the music of other Fallout games is taken).

However the trailer to Fallout 76 used a version of Country Roads (Take Me Home) by John Denver, a song that is a different genre and from a different time to other Fallout songs. The song threw the rule book out the window.

So it remains to be seen if all the songs used in Fallout 76 will be newer and different to typical Fallout songs, or if that was just a stunt for the trailer (a highly successful stunt, apparently, since the single of it released for charity did incredibly well). Bethesda has the rights to many other songs used in Fallout 3 and 4, some of which have also been used in promotional material, so it would be easy for these tracks to be re-used.

Of course, with Fallout 76 shaking up the series, it's no guarantee that there will even be a Pip-Boy radio again. But, given the amount of time we'll be spending in the wastes, it'd be nice to have some music to break up fighting and adventuring.

I'm based in the UK, looking to make a career out of writing about entertainment and culture. The only thing I like as much as watching films, playing games or listening to music is enjoying as much hummus and crisps as I can while I do so. My favourite film is Eddie the Eagle and I like any game that lets me wander around beautiful worlds (or eat hummus and crisps).
