4. Cracking Score
As tremendous as the voice acting is, it's wholly accentuated by Hollywood composer Brian Tyler's score, which is perfectly pitched to slide between manic intensity during the violent shoot-outs and more sombre, slow piano tunes during the downtime. It's quite a departure from the music of the last two games, but you know what? It's better; this is very different, but frankly, how much music from the last two games can you remember? The main theme here is very memorable, and though occasionally the electronica does intrude on the atmosphere when you're trying to be stealthy, on the whole it only accentuates the mood that, yes, you are slowly becoming a badass.
