Far Cry 5: 10 Things We Can't Wait To Do
1. Smash The Cult
Nobody likes cults. You never hear headlines proclaiming: "LOCAL CULT SAVES BOY, 7, FROM DROWNING." Or: "COUNTY CULT RECRUITMENT UP 10% AFTER CHARITY BAKE SALE." So you know what you have to do in Far Cry 5: Find the leader of Eden's Gate, take him down, and on your ascent to the top, take out as many crazed cultists as possible.
There's nothing quite as satisfying as a gruelling trek across a wilderness performing random acts of kindnesss and violence topped off by an epic battle, mano-a-mano, against a cold-hearted bastard who's deserving of retribution. And given the acts of cruelty and crazed speeches shown in trailers from Joseph Seed, it's set to be a grand finale.
And it's also this same point that's drawn criticism from some fans of Ubisoft's output, with what might possibly be a marketing stunt by PR.
Allegedly, some are unhappy that you're tasked with fighting American fundamentalists and began a petition to change the game.
Bit late for that, really.
