Far Cry 5: 10 Things We Can't Wait To Do

4. No More Towers - Acquire Info By Talking & Interacting With The World

I'm sure we're all pleased that climbing towers is set to become a thing of the past in Far Cry. The towers were helpful, yes, but after climbing what felt like hundreds of them across FC3 & 4, it was hard to shake the feeling you were just being led by the nose because of "helpful" map markers and the camera panning around points of interest.

With the nature of the setting being so drastically different, Ubisoft have hinted that you'll be able to seek out locals in villages and towns for information leading to the introduction of side characters.

There's Nick Rye - gun for hire and hotshot pilot. Or you might seek out Grace Armstrong, a sniper whose skills were honed in the dust of Afghanistan, to provide support as you fight your way across Hope County.

There's no confirmation on how the dialogue will work: whether it's just a "Press X to find out more" to learn where these new characters are or whether we might see a conversation system for the first time in Far Cry, we'll just have to wait and see.
