Far Cry 5 Review: 7 Ups & 3 Downs

3. Hope County Is Huge

Hope County, Far Cry 5's game world, may not be quite as exotic as previous entries into the series, but that doesn't stop it from being even bigger and even more varied.

The map in Far Cry 5 isn't just big, it's got plenty of things to do. Unlike a game like Just Cause 3 which was big with little to do in that world to match that size, Hope County has an activity to perform or a place to loot no matter where you are in the world.

That's one of the biggest reasons why playing Far Cry 5 can be so fun. Although you could very easily just play the story missions and complete the game fairly quickly, the best thing you can do is just turn the objective marker off and explore the world.

It's safe to say that Ubisoft have really outdone themselves with Far Cry 5's world and how players interact with it. Here's hoping they take these lessons into their other games.
