7. Jonny Evans, Manchester United (77)
Jonny Evans, once a fringe player at Old Trafford, found himself at the heart of Manchester United's defence last season as a result of the long term injury to fellow centreback Nemanja Vidic and the continued fitness concerns of Rio Ferdinand. He featured 38 times for the Red Devils last season and has once again found himself at the forefront of United's defence this season due to yet another injury layoff for Vidic. Always a consistent and reliable defender for both club and country (he has been capped 31 times for Northern Ireland) he deserves better than a mediocre rating of 77. Aged only 24, he is undoubtedly one of Man United's future long term defenders. Our Rating: 80
