FIFA 14: 10 Game-Changing Midfielders To Watch Out For

5. Toni Kroos

Bayern Munich, the current champions league holders, have talent all over the field, but none more so than in the middle, where the addition of Thiago Alcantara this summer has given manager Pep Guardiola no less than 10 midfielders to keep happy. Hopefully Kroos won't be left out, as he was a staple under Jupp Heynckes' teams from 2011 until 2013.

At the age of 23, Kroos has logged 35 or more appearances in the past three seasons, and was unfortunate not to start two successive Champions League finals, missing the 2013 final because of an injury sustained in the quarterfinals. His positional sense is already world-class; look at his trailing volley at the edge of the area against Arsenal in the Round of 16 last season.

So far this season Kroos has averaged 55 passes per game with a success rate over 90%. If Guardiola finds room for him in that crowded Bayern engine room, Kroos has shown that he is capable of pulling the strings for such a great team. Bayern Munich fans will have some hard team selections to make once FIFA 14 comes out.

A basketball player, but more of a soccer fan really. I once watched in horror as an errant Chris Sutton shot broke my teammate's sister's nose in warmups against Manchester United.
