FIFA 15: 10 Brand New Features To Make It The Best Ever

5. Disallowed Goals

There's nothing more dramatic in football than a disallowed goal. And that's particularly true if the goal should have stood. The Premier League era has been scattered with such instances, with a player scoring a last minute winner from an offside position to create controversy in the morning papers. In FIFA, a player in an offside position will be immediately flagged up. 10 times out of 10, if you're offside, it's a free-kick to the opposition. But if referees were more fallible, and were capable of making mistakes in 15, such instances might go unnoticed. We want EA to add controversies to the series, by allowing goals to stand even if they were scored from an offside position. It might well be annoying should this happen to you, but it would at least replicate such real life instances and show that these things do happen in the game, and EA are all about delivering the most realistic football simulation experience on the market. Referees are too robotic in FIFA, too perfect. The linesmen always get offside decisions right and anyone who has ever watched a game of football will tell you that this is not always the case. Human error exists in real life football and it should exist in simulated football too.
