6. A Realistic Pre-Season

The FIFA franchise currently depicts pre-season by randomly generating fixtures against teams from home and abroad before the Premier League begins. However, in its current state, this feature is relatively boring and has little to no meaning. Most players will likely simulate these games in favour of starting the season sooner. But if pre-season was more realistic, players might be more inclined to play through the fixtures in 15. Gamers should be able to select where to play their pre-season games - if playing as Manchester United, for example, they might select the United States - while each team, where applicable, should have their own pre-season competition. Arsenal for instance have the Emirates Cup while United have just won the International Champions Cup after coming through a group containing Roma, Inter Milan and Real Madrid before taking on Liverpool in the final. Adding licensed, pre-season tournaments with the opportunity to win a trophy would make pre-season much more entertaining in the FIFA franchise, while giving players more control over where and who they play against would lend to a more enjoyable experience.
