An increase in rating for Diego Costa was almost a cast iron guarantee in FIFA 15 considering the last 12 months the striker has just enjoyed, but a boost by just ONE point? Are you being serious? Costa was rated 84 in last year's game but a campaign that saw him finish as the third-highest goalscorer in La Liga suggests he should have seen a much bigger increase. Only Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi scored more league goals than Costa in Spain last season, with the Brazil-born forward striking 27 times to Messi's 28. The Barcelona star will undoubtedly be one of the highest-rated players in FIFA 15, yet Costa is nowhere near him despite scoring one fewer goal. Surely a score of 86 or 87 would have been more appropriate? Costa is after all proving himself as one of the best strikers in the world with the 25-year-old having scored four goals from three appearances for new club Chelsea already so far this season, suggesting he's set for a series of performances that make a mockery of his basement rating. And you can't seriously claim he's just as good as Carlos Tevez. Unfortunately, a less-than-impressive World Cup campaign with Spain appears to have restricted his climb up the rankings.
