FIFA 15: 10 Improvements EA Sports MUST Make
6. Improve International Management
Since FIFA 13, the option of managing an international team and a club team at the same time became available to players. When this move was first announced, it was hoped that the game could really capture the unique environment and challenges that come with the international scene, but in both FIFA 13 and FIFA 14 the mode fell flat, as it was nothing but a watered down version of club management. A job offer from a national team became a simple exercise of rejection in the inbox, with nothing really to be gained other than distracting you from your club. In FIFA 15, a number of changes must be made to reinvigorate international management: while it is understandable a number of teams must have generic stadiums, maybe the selection of these stadiums could vary slightly from the arenas available in the club scene? When managing a big team such as Italy or England, the option should be available to change the real-life stadium you play in; for example, Germany spread their home fixtures out all over the country, but in game, only Berlin is available for a home match. The qualification phase for tournaments should also be revamped, with all FIFA members from Mongolia to San Marino, if only as unplayable options to fill up the preliminary rounds. More kits and the final tournaments themselves should be licensed, as should the logo and decals in the stadium. Finally, the option should be inserted to just manage an international team if you so choose, as oppose to trying to juggle both teams. Considering EA manage to include most of the elements listed above in their biannual World Cup and Euro tie-ins, there really is no reason why they should not include them in future regular FIFA installments.......
