FIFA 15: 10 Improvements EA Sports MUST Make

7. Introduce An Option For A More "Arcade" Career Mode

In FIFA 14, and indeed in every FIFA game since FIFA 11, Career or Manager Mode has been rather reflective of the real world; budgets can be tight, board expectations high and wages crippling. For example, in FIFA 14, only eight teams have a budget of 40 million euro plus, which doesn't include the likes of Manchester Utd and Juventus. Young players can also take a lot of effort to develop, and realistically, most people simply do not have the time or patience to play a promising young player in the first team over a number of seasons. In many ways, it could be argued that the game is too authentic. One could propose the option of a more "Arcade" Career Mode, which could follow a similar route to FIFA 10, as well as the stripped back, more accessible game mode that Football Manager have successfully added to the game. Fans of the series will remember that in the Manager Mode section of the game, ratings and overalls could shoot sky high with form. It was possible to create a title winning side from a limited budget, because high rated players were cheap, wages were low and young players could develop quickly. In FIFA 15, perhaps the option could be included for both authenticity and fun? Granted, the 'fun' way is not everyone's cup of tea, but nor is realism, especially when looking for a quick fix of management. This would be another option that would open the game up to a further audience without alienating the hardcore.
