FIFA 15: 10 New Premier League Transfers Who Should Be Rated Highest

9. Fernando €“ 80 (FIFA 14 €“ 79)

The signing of Fernando may not have caused as much excitement as some of Manchester City€™s more expensive signings in previous transfer windows but the Brazilian will certainly expand the already versatile squad at the Etihad. In the seven years the so-called Octopus spent at Porto, he was responsible for maintaining the side€™s rock solid midfield, establishing a reputation for himself as one of the world€™s most effective ball recoverers. The 27-year-old will add some much needed defensive quality to City€™s otherwise attacking midfield. He will also relieve Yaya Toure of some of his defensive duties and allow the Ivorian to come forward where he is most devastating. Rated 79 during his last season at Porto, expect Fernando to receive a statistical upgrade in FIFA 15. Primeira Liga players are notoriously underrated in the FIFA franchise so expect Fernando€™s move to the Premier League to coincide with him receiving the rating that a player of his quality deserves. His competitive debut for City may have been in that abysmal FA Community Shield loss to Arsenal last week but the Brazilian will play an important role in Manchester City€™s bid to retain their title this coming season.
