Adrian Chiles and Michael Owen commentating can ruin any football match. Thankfully EA haven't opened that particular door yet - and long may that continue - but they do however, need to improve on their current commentary system. Improvements have already been made: the introduction of player transfers, injuries, suspensions and club history information have all made for a more authentic feel, but the reality is that the commentary is still limited to repetitive dialogue and often inaccurate details about the game. We all know the frustration of hearing Alan McInally with the identical 'They're down to 10 men' commentary, or Geoff Shreeves 'He's a tough lad, he should be ok' every time a player is seriously injured. Throw into the mix the 'The officials probably got that one right' when your player is a metre onside, the repetitive sayings that occur every game and the inappropriate goalkeeper praise for saving a pass and you have the second worst commentary set up in football.
