A match on Ultimate Team is not only a question of our general skill as a FIFA player but it also challenges our knowledge of the sport is one players understanding of the perfect team superior to anothers? To intensify the competitive nature of Ultimate Team even more, EA must introduce wager matches (or Pink Slips) to FIFA 15. Since its invention, gambling has been a huge aspect of football. All you have to do is watch the halftime adverts of any Sky Sports football game to understand the relationship between gambling and football. To acknowledge this relationship, FIFA 15 should finally introduce a Wager Mode to its Ultimate Team. This would allow players to gamble coins and valuable cards against other players, with the winner of the match taking the loot. At the moment these high value games are arranged online, outside the sanction of EA themselves. Given the somewhat unsavoury nature of many of FIFAs players, it should come as no surprise that all too often the losers of these tense games dont honour their bets. The introduction of an official wager matches would not only make the whole process a lot easier but would also eradicate the reprehensible scammers. Scoring a 90th minute winner to bag the whole caboodle would be something very, very special.
