FIFA 15: 15 Ratings EA Sports Have Got Completely Wrong

3. Diego Costa (85)

What does 27 league goals in 35 games get you? An increase of a paltry one point in FIFA 15, according to EA, who have shackled Diego Costa with a truly dismal score. Chelsea's new signing has only gone up one point from last year's rating of 84 despite the fact only Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo outscored him in La Liga in 2013-14. Costa was the third-highest goalscorer in Spain last term and was prolific both domestically and in European competition, banging in eight goals in nine Champions League appearances to equal the record held by Vavá since 1959 for most in a season by an Atletico player. His prodigious goalscoring may have earned him a move to Chelsea this summer, but his rating in '15 hasn't moved much. Bizarrely considered only the 37th best player in the game according to EA's top 50, Costa has the same score as Carlos Tevez, despite scoring 16 more goals than him, and is three points behind Robin van Persie, despite hitting 15 more than the Dutchman. With these numbers in mind, how on earth did EA arrive at their decision to give the Spain international such an insulting rating?
