FIFA 15: 50 Highest Rated Players In 2014

35. Arturo Vidal - Juventus (85)

POSITION: CM - PACE: 79 - DRIBBLING: 81 - SHOOTING: 78 - DEFENDING: 81 - PASSING: 80 - PHYSICAL: 83 When it comes to all-round midfielders in modern football, Juventus star Arturo Vidal is up there with the best of them. That's why we didn't hear the end to the rumours the Chilean was due for a Manchester United move over the summer. Louis van Gaal wanted this man for good reason - his game going backwards and forwards is sensational. Excellent stats and high work rates make him the complete midfielder. However, how has Vidal moved back on last year's rating?! Unbelievable Jeff.

34. Petr Œech - Chelsea (85)

POSITION: GK - DIVING: 83 - REFLEXES: 84 - HANDLING: 84 - SPEED: 45 - KICKING: 73 - POSITIONING: 83 It's quite hard to believe that Petr Œech will find himself out of the Chelsea team this season. He's still one of the best goalkeepers in the world, and EA Sports agree. The Czech is a non mover from his rating on FIFA 14 after barely putting a foot wrong for Chelsea last season.

33. Edinson Cavani - Paris Saint Germain (86)

POSITION: ST - PACE: 79 - DRIBBLING: 80 - SHOOTING: 85 - DEFENDING: 41 - PASSING: 70 - PHYSICAL: 82 Edinson Cavani was quite the player on FUT13 (this writer has a soft spot for him) but it's somewhat disappointing that he now finds himself in the under competitive Ligue 1. Despite playing on the flank for much of the time in Paris, he retains his natural central striker position on the game. However, he finds his overall attribute drop slightly - which sounds about right after last year.

32. James Rodríguez - Real Madrid (86)

POSITION: CAM - PACE: 80 - DRIBBLING: 85 - SHOOTING: 80 - DEFENDING: 40 - PASSING: 84 - PHYSICAL: 72 So, let me get this straight, James Rodriguez has a decent season in Ligue 1 and a good World Cup, but now he's gotten himself an 86 rating on FIFA 15?! He's a good player yes, but the hype could still catch up with the 23-year-old - especially after he cost Real Madrid so much money. J-Rod will be amongst the best players in the world soon, but this rating is a slight overreaction.

31. Thibaut Courtois - Chelsea (86)

POSITION: GK - DIVING: 84 - REFLEXES: 88 - HANDLING: 87 - SPEED: 46 - KICKING: 69 - POSITIONING: 86 Thibaut Courtois has not only edged the race for the first choice goalkeeper's slot at Stamford Bridge, but he has beaten club rival Petr Cech in the ratings stakes too. It's marginal, of course it is - both players are outstanding goalkeepers. But Courtois is the future and the future is now. His bump up from 84 on FIFA 14 puts the Belgian in as the second best goalkeeper on the game, and in line with his ranking amongst the world's best goalkeepers.
