FIFA 14 Rating: 73 To their credit, EA Sports did get Lustig's potential right last year, with a 77 rating possible, but his starting point of 73 was just too low for the impressive Swede, even if he is 28 and thus beyond the usual age that the game thinks players can still be any good. This year, the defender deserves to be increased to the top of his former potential, and have a new potential closer to 80. The game also needs to change his ridiculous Very Bad international profile, considering he's a starting defender for his country. He's unlikely to be the best attacking defender in the game, though his form in real life at times last season proves FIFA's low ratings of his attacking prowess were a little under-weight. The real problem for Lustig last year in FIFA was that his technical skills just weren't there: ball control of 64 for a defender is just ridiculous, and balance of 56 was clearly wrong for anyone who has actually seen him play. Both of those attributes need upgrading, and he needs an overall lift to somewhere like 77 for the sake of realism.
