FIFA 14 Rating - 86 A world class rating for a world class talent, Fabregas saw a small drop in FIFA 14 reflecting his struggle to hold down a single position at Barcelona, but his overall rating of 86 feels fair for a player looking to find some consistency at his new club. Mourinho looks set to return him to the central midfield berth he filled with such grace at Arsenal and his early season form is already proving what a shrewd acquisition the Spaniard has been. Bringing creativity to a Chelsea side in desperate deficit last season, Fabregas has picked up where he left off with Arsenal, effortlessly directing the play and creating outstanding goalscoring chances out of nothing. It wouldn't be the most surprising thing to see his rating increased even as high as 88, but for the time being I'm expecting it to stay put as EA wait to see how he fares over the season. Individual ratings-wise, he's got a strong and accurate set throughout, particularly his phenomenal Short Passing of 92, Vision of 93 and Long Passing of 92 being offset by lower but still solid numbers in the defensive stats. Any changes would be incremental, though his ability to react to teammates making runs and play the perfect pass could perhaps be better reflected with a nudge upwards in his Reactions rating of 83.
