FIFA 14 Rating - 80 Coming off a World Cup victory in which he assisted the winner, Andre Schurrle has had a terrific year. His rating of 80 shows a player who arrived at Chelsea a strong player and has only become more confident in his ability over time. The only thing stopping him getting a big increase is the fact he didn't manage to hold down a regular starting spot for Chelsea last season and was frequently brought off the bench at the World Cup for Germany, reflecting the fact he can still be frustratingly inconsistent even when an outstanding player on his day. A small increase from 80 would not go amiss however, as he is clearly a better player than he was at this stage last season and with Willian likely to stick at around 83, his rating should reflect the tighter competition between the two going forward. Individually, his acceleration of 92 seems over the top for a player who is certainly quick, but not lightning fast. A drop into the mid-80s would seem appropriate. His low-ish ratings for stamina and vision are fair for a player whose main aim is attacking himself rather than creating chances for others, and his crossing of 77 could even drop slightly. On the other hand, his ball control of 78 can certainly be kicked up to 80 at least, while his finishing of 80 might also be just a little low for someone who generally looks comfortable in front of goal.
