EA Sports have never quite got the balance right when it comes to the effectiveness of speed and acceleration. FIFA 10 was the first time pace become a real distinct advantage, it meant youd actually select people like Gabriel Agbonlahor for England 95 acceleration and 94 sprint speed. Ever since then, EA Sports have tinkered with the pace and each time theyve gone too far (either pace isnt an effective enough attribute or it is like facing Usain Bolt). FIFA 15 seems to have tipped the scales at the rating of Bolt with the default settings for the average joe footballers way too generous. FIFA 14s acceleration felt like even the rapid Theo Walcott and Raheem Sterling were having to shake a cargo ship or two off of them before hitting top speed. Now, though, the players get up to top speed a lot quicker, its just that bit too fast some people are just never happy! Football is about pace but FIFA struggles to make such players as Andrea Pirlo and Mesut Ozil worthwhile superstars to use with the emphasis on speed.
