FIFA 17: 10 Best Free Agents You Need To Sign

Brazilian playmaker Renato Augusto has enjoyed a long and successful playing career over three continents. The former Bayer Leverkusen man has a number of domestic Brazilian honors, 15 international caps, and a 2016 Olympic Gold Medal to his name. He recently made the switch from Corinthians to China’s Beijing Guoan, so while he’s not a free agent in real life, he is in FIFA 17.

Augusto can play at CM, but he’s far better suited as a CAM. His defensive stats are very poor, and if you stick him too deep, he’s probably going to get overrun. That being said, Augusto is an excellent all-round attacking midfielder. He’s not the most athletic player in the game, but his passing stats go no lower than 79 and he’s blessed with great vision (80), making him an effective playmaker.

That’s not the only trick up his sleeve, though. Augusto’s four-star skill moves, excellent dribbling (82) and ball control (82), and Flair trait make him very adept at skinning opposing defenders, and his shot power and long shots (81 each) make him a threat from the edge of the area. Aged 28, Renato Augusto can do a job for your side for a number of years, and if you need some creativity behind your strikers, he’s a great acquisition.
