6. Threaded Through Balls - Get To Know Them
The lobbed through ball has been a staple of the experienced FIFA player's arsenal for quite some time now, a relatively complex maneuver to execute effectively, but devastating in the right hands.
Well, this year's FIFA could well have found the new way to slice open defences with reckless abandon. The threaded through ball (performed by holding the right bumper in conjunction with the through-ball button) allows players to slightly curve their pass into the path of an onrushing teammate.
This seems to work especially well in the case of lightning-quick counter attacks and as part of hold-up play, allowing a striker to hold off a defender, turn, and slide the ball around them to a teammate on the run.
