FIFA 18 Career Mode: 10 Wonderkids You Will Need To Sign
1. Kylian Mbappe (Monaco)
Comparing young footballers to the greats of the past is dangerous, but there are countless parallels between Thierry Henry and Kylian Mbappe. Both forwards came through the famed Clairefontaine football academy prior to debuting for Monaco, with Mbappe usurping Henry as the club's youngest ever first team player in December 2015.
Their playing styles are remarkably similar too, with both relying on a combination of finesse, technique, and athleticism, but while Henry started as a winger, Mbappe operates solely as a striker.
The 18 year old shot to prominence last season, notching 15 goals and 8 assists in 29 league appearances, adding 6 further strikes during Monaco's Champions League campaign. Arsenal were reportedly willing to pay up to £75 million for his services, but have since given up hope of signing the Frenchman, who looks set to stay in Monaco for another year.
Mbappe is already a world class player, and had a dizzying potential overall rating of 92 in FIFA 17. Expect his price tag to inflate with his skillset this year, but while Kylian will be out of reach to all but the richest clubs, you may be signing the best young player in the game.
