Italian phenom Gianluigi Donnarumma is the most promising young goalkeeper in the world. Debuting at just 16 years old in 2015, he quickly became the first choice on AC Milan's team sheet, and didn't miss a single game last season. He has since acquired 4 international caps, and only turned 18 in February, meaning that he could potentially be one of world football's top names for the next 15-20 years.

Standing at 6'5", Donnarumma is an imposing presence between the sticks and an expert shot-stopper. He is defined by his fearlessness, and has absolutely no qualms about rushing off his line to dive at an opposing strikers' feet. With a potential overall rating of 92, Donnarumma was FIFA 17's best young 'keeper, and there's no reason to think this will change in 18.

The youngster has spent much of his summer at the heart of a long, protracted contract saga, with Real Madrid seemingly set to swoop for his services at one point. Fortunately, Donnarumma has since committed his future to Milan, meaning that he won't be an impossible FIFA 18 signing, though you'll still have to pay a sizeable fee.
